#1 – Debarking
Debarking, also known as bark softening, is the act of cutting off the dog’s vocal cords so that it will sound more like a whisper than a real bark.
The real problem is that many dog owners feel this is acceptable or even appropriate to perform this painful surgery on their dogs instead of taking some time to train them not to bark or to simply hire a professional dog trainer.
This cruelty needs to stop! How would you feel if we decided to remove your vocal cords just because your loud voice is annoying?
