The Basset Hound is a perfect companion, calm, affectionate, social, and friendly. This dog breed is ideal for a peaceful coexistence in small apartments since their favorite pastime is either eating or sleeping.
Due to their short legs, these pups aren’t fast runners and prefer quiet, slow walks at their own pace. Moreover, Basset Hounds are not very dynamic, so if you want a pet that can play with kids, this is probably not the best breed for you.
Owners need to be patient when it comes to dog training and pay special attention and care for their long ears and eyes to avoid infections and diseases. These dogs like to stay at home with their owners, so if you provide them with all the care that they need, Basset Hound will thank you with so much affection.
