Cone Snails live where the warm waters exist, like Hawaii, Indonesia, and the Caribbean. They are insanely beautiful, but yet, so dangerous. They have brown-white marbled shells that thankfully, we can recognize immediately.

They can be seen close to the shore in shallow depths, beneath sandy shoals, rock formations, and coral reefs. If you found one, do not touch them because they have harpoon-like “teeth” that contain conotoxin, which is complex venom.

In case you were a victim of its stung, rush to the emergency room right away. It doesn’t only paralyse you within moments, it can also kill you in the same duration you would smoke a cigarette, which is why Cone snail is known as cigarette snail.
