They were also used to hunt wild animals like the wild bear and deer. Akita breed is absolutely a brave and loyal guardian to his family; they are always ready and up for all new challenges. Males can reach to 28 inches tall, and weigh more than 130 pounds, whereas females stand up to 26 inches and weigh more than 110 pounds. Besides being an aggressive dog by nature, the Akita can be a respectful, friendly, and affectionate dog when professionally trained.
