#4 – Here are the 2 Best Methods to Train a Pitbull
The two dog training methods you will discover here are not based on challenges, grumbles, negative reinforcement, or any kind of harsh training. These methods are not fun, neither for you nor for your dog.
One of the basic rules of dog training is to make sure to let your Pitbull discovers what is the right behavior to adopt and that they want to comply with the rules of conduct.
Your Pitbull must understand the idea of adopting the right behavior via their own reasoning. For example, rather than telling your dog not to climb on the couch, they must understand it, so if they know that they will receive a treat in exchange, then, your pet will figure out that the sofa is much less interesting than the tasty pleasure of dog treats.

• The first method of Pitbull training is based on positive reinforcement. This method is very simple and works in most cases since you simply reward your dog as soon as they begin to adopt the desired behavior. For example, you say ‘Sit’, the dog sits down, and you immediately offer them a treat. In fact, this dog training method is not limited to Pitbulls or dogs in general. This is also how you can train cats, rats, ferrets, cattle and other pets.
• The second method of Pitbull training basically consists of showing your Pitbull the intended behavior through examples, a bit like what happens in nature. You should assume the role of leader of the pack. This means that you need to show your pet what to do and how to do it while maintaining your position as a firm leader. The person who most contributed to the popularization of this method is César Millan, the author of the book “become the pack leader”.
Of course these two techniques for Pitbull training both have their advantages and disadvantages. But, in general, they are complementary, so you’ll have to use them both.
